One more night call. Two more days in the office. Three is the magic number for China time. It's really starting to sink in even more. This is it...the real deal. Life is about to turn upside down for both me and my girl. It will be hard, it will be amazing. It will be...so much better than fine.I feel like I am leaving behind a very long chapter in my life and about to step forward into a whole new world of possibilities. No words do it justice. Life is better than good...it's incredible.

I put you on the prayer list at church today. Another mom headed to china. There was mention that three more families from our church are adopting too. that will make almost 8 or perhaps its 10.
I'm so very excited for you! I hope you have a wonderful trip despite "tatiana".. LOL. We really were semi alone on our trip. We saw the families at breakfast but that was pretty much it unless we wanted to do things together. Hope you trip is much the same.
I'll be watching everyday! (and sending LOTS of prayers)

I love your blog, happened upon it through a friend's. I can't wait to see you and your girl together next week. One little piece of advice that has served us well: Pick a sweet little ditty that you can sing or hum w/Claire during early calm and happy moments. Repeat it often and when things get tough, sing it again. It amazed us how quickly our Claire relaxed and calmed down. It just might be the best tip I was given while waiting. It still works today, be it vaccinations, bad dreams, or just a fitful mood.

It's funny but it's kind of sinking in for me too. I was thinking about you today when my husband and I were talking about bringing our new addition home. So surreal to go on a trip and bring home a baby!! But I love the idea of it. Life is going to change over night ... and in a really awesome way.
