Holy smokes the time is flying. It isn't turning out to be a weekend of leisure and personal indulgence on call either. Heh. Four days left. FOUR.DAYS.LEFT. In one week it will be Sunday in China....PIPA day. (Scream).And, because I am all about truth in advertising, my best-laid plans have gone to hell in a handbasket. Yes, we know I did it. I was packed and ready. But, the one thing that I decided I need and love for my crudalicious head is my vaporizer. That, good hygiene, good nutrition and time are all I really need. None of that other OTC crap has worked and I already did my round of antibiotics. I got up this morning and said 'damitol' I'm taking it (the vaporizer). Of course, it will not fit in the carry-on bag. So, I was going to buy a big bag in China to fill up and bring back. Instead I'll check the dingdang thing through from here to Beijing containing little more than said vaporizer. At least I know I'm nowhere near overweight on the bag...going in ;0)
All I have left to do is separate the dinero into individually labelled baggies. Yeah, when it comes to that I am picky. Hopefully, call will allow me the time to take care of that tonight. I'm such a spazz I wouldn't even leave the money in my house unattended. It is under guard elsewhere. I was seriously having concerns that the cats would find it and eat it. Yeah, I suspect I am pushing the boundaries of 'normal' there but I'm not taking any chances.
Heh, I was hoping I would have a chance to actually deep clean my house before I left. So far, that kind of time is not looking good because it would actually require me to be home! Looks like a lick and a promise is all it's going to get. We'll all survive.

Because I want MY vaporizer (wah ;0) and I don't want to have to jack around looking for one. I want to go to my hotel and chill after that long flight. It's my security blanket and it's not saving me anything to wait so off it goes :0)
LOL...never heard of anyone lugging a vaporizer to China! Your posts are reminding me of The Count (from Sesame Street fame).

I had a jacket that had an inside zippered pocket that I kept my passport and $ in. Our agency wired the money to China for the in-country adoption fees so we didn't have to carry a lot of extra, but some fees changed before we got there and we had to add a little extra. Not much, though. Also, the hotels there have an in-room safe for your valuables and it was a nice thing to have. Doesn't cost much either.

Your vaporizer might also serve as white noise for sounder sleeping.

I am thinking that a vaporizer is a great idea. Hotels are SO dry and that will just make everything worse!!
I wouldn't like you to have to be sorting through the kitty's...ahh...excrement to find pieces of the money to piece together to make full bills. Smart call at leaving it at another location!!
Sorry to hear about not being able to go COO but suddenly it struck me as quite funny! (Sorry!!) If you had given us a list of 10 things to choose from that would take you out of the COO status I'm guessing not a single one of us would have chosen a vaporizer. It's a great idea though for mamma and baby too. Hope you're soon able to kick this thing in the butt.

Just a thought..... when my baby girl was so sick in province we asked the hotel for one. They had to plug our request into some translation machine, because hardly anyone spoke english there, and low and behold they were able to provide one for us. Certainly easier than lugging it, but I do hear that you want YOURS.
I, too, was really sick before I went and my ears would not unplug. Ended up having to take prednisone (sp?) for 5 days or so, which finally did the trick.
You could find a very cute vaporizer in China, like a duck, penguin, pig etc. I remember wanting to buy one b/c they were so cute, but didn't have room in my luggage to take it home. If you bring your vaporizer from home to China you might not have room to take it home again in your luggage? Better buy a new one here to have when you get home! Enjoy the journey!!!!
