Off to start the adventure of a lifetime. I'm feeling spry! I will check in...well, when I can. It still makes my head implode to think that I leave early this morning and arrive late Thursday afternoon in Beijing. Yowza. Here's hoping the POC laptop will work with us and I'll be able to post :0)Yesterday was wonderful. I had a very nice sendoff at work and a great evening as well. I am so grateful for all the good I have in my life. It's hard to believe it is about to get many fold even better....yet it is. Every time someone looks at the picture of my daughter and says what a lucky girl she is, well, I just let them know that I am the lucky one. There is no greater gift than a child and I know I will feel that way even when I am knee deep in poop, snot and night time cries.
Adieu! Off to get this mom thing started!
PS: One day I will have to get into the story of teaching the pet sitters how to manage the security system last night. Heh, that was funny...sorta. At least I know it works (as does the 'neighborhood watch') ;0)

Can it be that I am truly the first comment??? Have FUN and enjoy each moment. Go with the flow! I am so happy for you both!! If you need help of any kind over here let me know, I'm just 50 minutes away by train and I could also skype with you in real time if you need anything.

Congratulations! I remember the day we left like it was yesterday. . ur, actually I don't remember it at all. Be sure to write down some thoughts every once in awhile because the time flies and then you are home and doing what every other mom does (which is more wonderful than you can ever imagine).
