Now how could you resist a title like that? I came home tonight and found that my Flip Mino arrived. I had to give it a test run because I am absolutely clueless with cameras of any kind. In addition, narrating on video feels very odd to me. I'm sure that will become second nature in time but it feels exceedingly bizarre right now.
The video/audio quality was actually quite good...before I uploaded it to Blogger (which took 4-ev-ah even on my speedalicious Mac). It lost visual sharpness and quite a bit of audio crispness in that translation. Ah well, I needed 'easy'. I got 'easy'. I am pleased. I think I may upload elsewhere next time though. It really should not take that long to upload a 2 minute bit of video (I am telling myself).
Hang in there with me. I promise to have something vaguely more interesting than my Danskos as my 'Flipability' matures.
PS: I WAS being facetious with the 'likes' and 'whatevers'..at least most of them :0)

Ok, I had no idea what a "Flip Mino" was, so I looked it up. Very cool!! Your video may have lost some sharpness when it uploaded to Blogger, but I'm still impressed. I'll be making a note of this little gadget I think. :)

I'm with PM... what does that say about us that we just spent 3 minutes and 42 seconds of our lives watching you talk to your feet? I can't get that time back. But it was worth it to see my boyfriend. It'd been a long time since I've since that gorgeous face. LOL!
PS. I think the quality is great for it being on the blog. Good pic and good sound. I'll have to see what you say about it after China... but if it's idiot proof, it's for me. :)

yes it took forever to upload on my mac too and the sound was distorted on blogger (was fine when i listened to it on the mac itself)- must be something in the resizing- i sounded like i had a lisp and everything... but, all in all it's so easy and great for travel, i'm thrilled with it! plus you can't beat 2 double A's instead of having to recharge...

OK...so I'm totally copying what many others have said but hearing your voice again made me miss you even more! Can you believe it's been 2 years since we hung out in Detroit for the weekend? I remember when you called my room and my first thought was, 'hey...she has an accent!' Little did I know that you were thinking the same.
I too must confess to watching the entire 3:42 of the video. What a great little gadget! Soon it won't be recording mamma with her feet up but mamma's feet chasing her baby girl all over the house! WAHOOO!!!!!!!!!
