A recent happy moment of baking chocolate chip cookies with C for the first time. She rather liked it ;0)
C and I spent our entire day here:
Today was a VERY long day of surgical delays with a hungry, over-tired child. I have to give huge kudos to my gal. She was a total trooper and actually sat for 2 solid hours on my lap just playing little games with me before falling asleep...five minutes before they came to take her to surgery this evening.
This shot is right after changing into the glorious gown. The toy entertainment did not keep her attention long. Also, note all those outlets in the picture. Safety first ;0)...
Fentanyl rocks: ;0)
All went well. Anesthesia emergence was a little tough tonight but we're doing okay. Now, that is two family surgeries down. Perhaps I can finally dig up a spare moment to deal with my lame leg before someone shoots me like an old horse. The amount of grief the hospital staff gave me over carrying my gal with a casted ankle was ridiculous. I'm not going to let my girl suffer so carry her I will (except for long distance hauls, of course). I just tell them to pretend I weigh another 24# and keep going about my biz.
Still planning to be back when the smoke clears. Hope all is well for you!

All I can send is my good wishes, and a little understanding.
I, too, have been doing for my girl without taking my own recovery into consideration. I'm not sure how else to manage but we're working on it.
Very, very happy to hear that your Dad & C are doing well!
So glad your dad is doing better and C breezed through her procedure. Thinking of you and your foot! Well, not really thinking of your foot, but you know what I mean! :)
Hey! Glad to hear that is over and you're moving along. I'm sure it's smooth sailing from here on out.
You and c keep popping in my mind the last few days. If you need anything, just ask ok?
Glad things are going well..
She is tooo cute eating those choc. chip cookies..
Have a great week..
Hugs..
Thanks for the update..
I am mortified that I have not been here and have not known all that is going on. C - I am so sorry. Know that my heart - thoughts and prayers are with you, your girl and your Dad. Sending lots of love and get well wishes for all.
Every time I read one of your posts lately, all I can think is, "HOW is she getting through all of this?!?!" Continuing to send prayers your way. (And we always love photos of Fentanyl-drugged children. Heh.)
So glad to hear that things are on the upswing. Glad everything went relatively smoothly for PIPA.
Hope your dad gets better and stronger EVERY day.
Thinking of you ~ sending lots of good thoughts, prayers, and HUGS!!!
Wow, you are going through a lot right now. Must be so hard. I am hoping and praying that your life becomes considerably less strained in the near future.
PS- Love the idea of telling them to just pretend you weigh 24 more pounds. Tee hee.
Connie - I'm glad to hear that things are on the mend with Little C and your dad. LOVE the cookie picture. You amaze me with your inner strength. Hang in there girl... this too shall pass! We continue to send good thoughts and prayers your way.
Excellent to hear! I hope things continue to improve. Try to squeeze in some time for yourself to get that paining ankle looked at. I have learnt...the world will go along fine if you are not there to steer it. Learnt that personally not too long ago and ya know what...it does carry on and I can get back on it and carry on.
Hugs...wish I were closer to lend a hand.
Keep smilin!
I leave for a couple weeks and all hell broke loose!! I'm glad to hear that C and your Dad are doing better! Sending some good vibes your way that things continue to improve!
Glad it's over and that she did well and that your dad is better. Prayers still coming your way for that bum foot. Take care, hun!

Glad to hear that your dad is on the mend. I'm sure that knowing he's getting better is helping you deal with things easier.
C is totally adorable! Love the cookie pic. I see you're creating another little chocolate chip lover. :-) Glad to hear that she's done with her stuff for now too.
Now go take care of yourself!
Hugs!
So good to read that everyone is doing okay. I love the Fentanyl picture! Groovy.
You guys are both SUCH troopers!!!! My hats go off to you both- poor little C in that one Fentanyl photo. Feeling no pain but man, my heart just goes out to her.
Come see my Ellis Gao Mei when the smoke clears (skip the video, just scroll to referral post, your life is too hectic)!
Boy do I know just where you both were from the first picture. The hospital digs did me in. I needed a little Fentanyl just to finish reading your blog. So glad its over and you did not need to say there too long. Hope this does the trick for little C.
Wishing PIPA a quick recovery and hope her ears are all better!
Sending positive thoughts your way and hope your Dad continues to get better.
((hugs))
So glad everything went so well...love the chocolate chip photo!
Glad that Miss C. did great getting her ear tubes. I know how tough it is to see your baby on the operating table, even for a small procedure. Sofia got ear tubes too, but hers was because of her cleft palate and it was a miracle, the ear infections stopped once and for all.
Hugs,
Jonni
