Suckity suck suck...

No, I actually can't be more eloquent than that right now.

Twenty-four hours after I was run down by the sickness train the fog started to lift. I do not have the kind of job conducive to being off so back I went full force yesterday. My wingnut started her regular day as well.

Perhaps I should have been suspicious when I picked Claire up and she was wearing one of her 'backup' outfits. I heard she 'threw up a little' but seemed to be fine otherwise. Fast forward to last evening. My girl was a fussbudget about going down. This does not happen often. After she settled in, I started laundry. I am not sure my definition of 'a little' matches up with the day care description. The smell from that soiled clothing bag was enough to make we want to burn it...and it got me nauseous again for pity's sake.

Early this morning the whines from the crib became progressively louder and more plaintive. Nothing much consoled my girl this morning as she squirmed and pooped several times in her diaper. This does NOT happen unless something is wrong. Poor kid. It seems she hasn't escaped the nastiness that ran me down. So far, so good, that she is not yet running a fever....yet. I hope we can (at least) escape that nightmare for her. Off to hydrate and nap...both of us.

I gotta say, I know the summer is going to get better. At least there is that. I'd much rather be writing about trips to the zoo or park.
