- What a wonderful day spent with her and her yesterday. It is amazing how quickly an entire day can slip away when you're in good company.
- I ate more yesterday than I think I had in the week prior. Hmm....Chai tea latte, hot chocolate, grilled ham and Swiss, DELISH crispy pad thai, a glass of wine and some chocolate that suddenly vanished when it was sitting next to me. (It's okay, we were together ALL day). I'm not going near the scale for a while though.
- It gives me the heebie-jeebies to see how long some people can hang at a Starbucks. Can you believe it...morning and then again at night? Wait, I suppose we had to be there too to notice this phenomenon ;0)
- Go-etta and a big fork can make so many things all better!
- I am convinced there really WILL be a little boy joining our ranks in the coming year. No hard evidence. I just feel that way and could be entirely wrong. I'm not saying it will be me who has a son (as a single I honestly doubt it) but I just feel a boy coming on near-by and that's exciting too.
- I looked at the beautiful faces of both J & T at the dinner table last night and it really hit me. NOT much longer and I will be a mama....can someone let this crazy flapping bird out of my chest!?! I'd be honored beyond words to get a sweetheart of a kid like either one of them.
- Next time our small group gets together officially, I should have my referral in hand. (Yeah, I said 'thppppt' and stuck my fingers in my ears while humming "la, la, la, la" when I saw the RQ projection that tosses me into early 2009 for referral).
- I see some tender hearts voted in the November cut-off poll for my LID. Thanks for trying to boost my spirits but, I do believe, I would drop over if that happened. I am mentally prepared for December and, at worst, January.
- Does anyone have experience with the Flip that they wish to share? I drool over beautiful photos and wonderful cameras but I'm a 'regular' gal there and need something simple that adequately does the job. I am not going to become Ansellete Adams. I accept it. I'm leaning towards one of these Flip video gigs. If you know about them firsthand let me know what you think.
- Pat Benatar rocks...truly. Gotta love her. (Sorry, that just popped in my head.)
- Gap Kids had something that screamed at me from across the store. I had to have it. Yep, living dangerously because I have no clue who is about to come into my life but I just had to have it. If it won't work for us, it will make a lovely gift.
- I LOVE fall....most of all.
- Because we had some critical discussion yesterday, I am placing a new ladies-only poll in the sidebar. We need answers! Please vote today (and do the LID cutoff vote if you haven't ventured over there).
- As a bit of house-keeping with the new blog let me note that I do not accept anon comments of any kind. I am changing the settings because I would allow it with the expectation that most people DID identify themselves in the post. I can't say I have received any bad comments but, regardless, if someone cannot own what they say then it is not being posted. And, (my blog, my discretion) if you put something idiotic and DO identify yourself it's not getting posted either. A properly stated alternative view is always welcome....snideness is not. (Unless, of course, it's funny ;0)
- Off to find some Asian pears. I have a tart to make after I mow the lawn. Ewww....the lawn is scary but I can't pass it off as Halloween decor.
- Hope your day is a beautiful one!

The little jacket is sooo darling..
Have a Great Week..
I am so excited for you! And think the coat is adorable. Sofie may need one of those as well.
Oh... mow the lawn... yeah, I guess I better get to that. Thanks ever so much for the reminder (not)
Bloglines never tells me when you updated anymore. Why is that? I know it had nothing to do with your post, but it's bugging me!
I still smile when I think of yesterday. It was AWESOME!!!! I am so lucky to have you! :)
Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails...
:o)
Would you believe this morning I was asked, "What do you think of the name Jackson!!!!!!!! LOL I SWEAR!!!
Glad you enjoyed your day. I LOVE getting together with fellow adoption crowd.
Sounds like a lovely day - of course the description made me hungry... and I share your disinterest in the latest predictions. Here's to great days with friends and impending parenthood...
Sounds like a fun day with friends. I LOVE the coat and am seeing a trip to Gap Kids in my future! :o)
Sounds like a fun day!
Nope....not January. Nope.............won't think it.
How fun to hang with friends. Wish I could meet J & T!! Love those girls.
I find myself just about daily talking about you and your referral coming...........WOW!!!!!!!!!!
So jealous that you get to have a monthly get together with Sandra! I've know her longer & have yet to meet her face to face! Maybe you gals can come down to S FL! And of course, I can probably outsit you ladies at a Starbucks!
Love your Baby Gap purchase! It's so pretty!
I have a FLIP video camera, and I love it! The quality is pretty good(not great, but good enough for those quick videos). It is so easy to plug in to your computer and upload the videos. Love it!
I'm not allowing anonymous comments anymore either. I was getting some that were downright cruel. Also some that weren't, but I agree if you can't put your name on it then why are you saying it?
I'm glad you guys had fun. But I have to admit that while laying on the couch yesterday STILL coughing my stomach muscles into knots I looked up at the clock and saw that it was 2pm... and I gotta little sad.
I really miss you guys.
Next time for sure! :)
PS. I don't see you with a boy referral...but for some weird reason lately I've been feeling that it might be for the polar bear.
Starbucks rules!!!!
Have a wonderful day
Wendy
So much....sounds like a super day. Love the jacket. Hope you found the pears.
Keep smilin!
Cute jacket! I can see why you couldn't resist.
I didn't answer the poll, because we have paper seat covers in public restrooms out here. I have noticed that it seems to be a West Coast thing though, and I can see why it presents a dilemma for you.
:-)
Pat Benatar rocks!!! Sorry popped out too!
The boy thing intrigues me....
YOU will be getting your referral so very soon!
Sounds like a fun and delish time. Even if Starbucks put a restraining order against you guys..
I have a flip video and have been really happy with it. I also have a video option on my little point and shoot casio, so I use both. I'm not really sure which one is better quality though. The flip is so fast, EASY and convenient. I'm going to be posting some recent videos, sometime this week, and they were all taken with the flip, so check them out if you want.
Love the jacket! How cute!
Chai latte... mmmm-m!
I too am prepared for Dec... I think IF by sheer miracle we made it into the Nov batch... I'll pass out!
Love Fall too, and the jacket! Glad you had a great day with friends. And the calories don't count when you are paper pregnant.
By the way on your potty poll....the second choice would depend on if toilet seat protectors were available. Since your poll did not specify, I had to vote for hovering. Also, I avoid public restrooms at all costs, unless I have no choice. It's not fun to go potty and have your four year old describing to the world what you are doing step by step!
sorry...didn't finish...the blog is http://mikeandrhonda.blogspot.com/
: )
Pat B. is da bomb. nuff said.
I will stand in line for that jacket is it doesn't fit your son, errrrr, I mean daughter.
Drop and get comfy???? Are you kidding me???? That is GROSS!!!!!!!!!
Good Lord the GERMS!!! I don't care if you use a seat liner or not. I don't even squat - I have perfected the standing straight over the toilet and doing my business.
Saturday was AWESOME, but went by too fast. Already looking forward to the next time. As far as a January referral, I have one thing to say: THPPPT!
Ooooh, lovin' that jacket. LOL @ the Starbucks phenomenon, sounds like a fun day.
Sounds like a great day!! Such wonderful women!
That coat is AMAZING! And I'm thinking I should be changing my anonymous settings too. Only problem is, my computer-challenged relatives can't figure out how to work it the other way.....
Gah. I am so dumb. I never update links when I should. I completely forgot you changed blogs until today! I have been missing out!
That jacket is *darling.* If I hadn't already spent too much on fall clothes for Tabby I'd run out and buy it immediately.
Pat Benetar does rock.
Also, have an older version of The Flip that I love a lot. It is SOOO easy to use.
what a great day. I have the flip and I love it. It is absolutely simple to use! I swear :) Your post below gave me chills - what an amazing story.
So jealous you guys were together... Headda and I were just saying how we need some "all of us" plans to look forward to. It's making me sad that there is nothing looming on our horizons to get together!!!
You are a busy girl, have to say... glad mowing the lawn is never on my agenda!!
I am loving that jacket!
Ok..so who do you know that is getting a boy...? Spill the beanz!
Why not the 24th? It's about time for a good number of days and I'm dying to know your sweetie's name!
Cute jacket, BTW.
Glad to hear you ladies had a great time! (what other kind of time could be had though with just great company)
I didn't vote but I'm thinking a christmas referral would be nice so you had a reason to put up that tree this year. (even if just for a referral). You are getting so close!!
ps.. sending you an email
Your purchase just sums it up - anticipation, brillance and Autumn expectation. So looking forward to these next months with you. xo
