Someone is excited...

...to hear Grammy & Grumpy (her response term) are coming to stay at her house soon.

Things took a bit longer to stabilize than expected so mom isn't out of the hospital yet. It looks like tomorrow she and dad will be moving in with me at least through the weekend. I want to be sure she is a stable as can be before allowing Mr. & Mrs. Independent back in their own digs.

One little girl is quite happy about this news. She thinks the G-'rents are the best. I have to say she DOES have very good taste.

PS: Never mind that enormous chin band aid. Suffice it to say that my girl plays with gusto ;0)

Sounds like fun! Prayers for your mom's quick recovery. Little one can get some major spoilage. When your family does something, you do it right the first time! LOL You are a good mom and a good daughter! I hope one day (LID 7/22/06) to be following in your steps of being a single, career, independent mom. You inspire me! Hang in there.

C is such a cutie. I haven't been over here in quite a while. Sorry to hear about all the unfun stuff going on in your life right now. But I was very excited to see that your bonding time has worked out well and things seem to be going better for the two of you. I know being a single mom can definately add challenges but it looks like things are moving along. Hope both your parents are feeling better.

LOVE that term- plays with gusto! Ellie is the same way. The EI lady that came over yesterday kept repeating...she sure is a very busy/active little girl! I think we are in for a grand ol' time with these girls of ours! Here's to continued positive health news for your mom- and entire family.

I once saw an older gentleman wearing a hat that read "Grumpa." Since then, it's always been my dearest wish for one of my children to call my dad "Grumpa." Unfortunately, he insists on Grandfather. Which sounds Cold and Unfeeling, until you realize that he wanted to be called Grandfather... "like in the book Heidi." Melts your heart, doesn't it?
