Random cleanliness

I know you love the photos so let's start there. Miss Thang got her bath and seems to be voguing it in her pink kitty robe.

I call the next one "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful." I don't know about you but I see trouble brewing there ;0)

...and in case you wondered if she ever smiles. This is the face I am most accustomed to seeing around here these days...

She enjoys a good laugh.

Some randomness:

- The Wing continues to sleep like a dream - 11-12 hours per night. I am on my knees begging all the powers that be for even a so-so transition back to work. I'm not even asking for perfection here. Let's just see if so-so will fly :0)
- I spent ages dreaming of that little Italian-speaking Chinese boy before my referral. I rather miss the guy. I think my subconscious is too fried to let him in these days. But, would it not figure that the one food my kid absolutely detests is lasagna? She is not a big fan of any tomato based sauces. Kinda like her mama on that one ;0)
- She LOVES peas and carrots. Of course, I think that is endlessly cute.
- Miss "I will eat anything' is actually getting finicky. I suspect she has figured out that there is plenty of food around so she has taken a mind to decide what works for her and spit out the rest.
- Her current faves are (surprise) Chinese and Thai food. She digs the spicy stuff. As a result, she can also swig the milk. Not a sign of lactose intolerance...yet.
- Her laugh is becoming more and more free. That is one thing that I can say IS the best music I have heard.
- Unfortunately, she laughs uproariously at me when she sees me naked. Gee, thanks. Still, I will take this as a better sign than crying in fright....that's what I do.
- She is obsessed with staring at herself (Lawdy help me in 10-12 years).
- Still no independent walking but we're working on it. Honestly, I am not in a wild hurry because I know it will come soon enough. Then again, it IS weird to me that I have a kid who hardly ever poops her pants but can't walk.
- I wanted to see how long I could make it without whining and I think I did pretty well. I have been running a fever and feeling like crapola since very early Sunday morning. The Wing was lovely and just played her heart out for 2.5 hrs while I dozed on the playroom floor that morning. Usually she is jumping all over me, that morning she nicely occupied herself. It almost seemed she knew. We've made it through otherwise but not feeling well and keeping all the commitments and plans has been an interesting experience. I have to say, not much time to think about not feeling good when there is a little one around and things need to be accomplished. I am very glad this didn't onset as I was going back to work although it stinks that several days of my time off have been quite droopy. Ah well, nothing left but a low-grade fever and cough. I figure I should get over it in time for The Wing to pick it up. As long as we're both perky again next week I really have no complaints.
- You'll all be glad to know that I, again, cut The Wing's fingernails and toenails. This time, not even a hint of an amputation. I am proud and she is intact :0)
