More lovin' via the postal service

My mailbox is one happy place these days. It beats the pants off of bill season (the usual season) for my mailbox.

Look at this bit of pendant love that was waiting for me when I arrived home a short while ago. In 2006, Julie was one of the first bloggers I followed along on her journey to her amazing Tess. Not only is she a mama extraordinaire but she is an incredibly gifted crafter. She makes such beautiful things! I may be a bit proud but it would be quite difficult for this pendant to lack in beauty. Look at that subject, after all :0)

Thank you so much, Julie. I can hardly wait to have PIPA's hand firmly grasping that pendant.

We go from beautiful and sentimental to highly practical and useful. The exersaucer is a must for the single mom who does not wish to smell like a goat when she goes to work. It keeps baby happy and contained while mom showers. This is courtesy of my colleagues: (Yeah, I suspect they don't want me smelling like a nanny goat either). I love this contraption and I hope she will too.

You'll be glad to know I haven't lost my old spunk. Tomorrow I will be up with the chickens to clean out a clogged gutter that is making my lower level rather 'soggy'. See, I'll just fix it. I'm not even upset about it. I promise you I don't get in a wad about anything anymore...very interesting to me. Yeah, I had to climb up there last February too and pull out ice chunks and goop. Some day I'm going to get smart and take the time to have the situation permanently resolved. Being on a ladder picking out icy goo in 14 degree weather is not my idea of a relaxing time although it certainly could be a lot worse.

Oh, yes, and I said something about waiting for 'TA' today at work. Indeed, I had to explain the difference between that and 'T&A'. Great googly moogly!

Your little Claire will love that contraption. We didn't have one for our house, but my folks have one at theirs for her and whenever we're there and put her in it, she goes crazy...seriously jumping and spinning and screaming. It's great.

Oh and I've been meaning to tell you also that "Claire" can also mean 'all that is right in the world'. Every time I think of that sentiment and our Claire it just knocks on my heart, b/c she made it all right in our world. Kinda have a feeling that your Claire is doing the same for you!! Can't wait to see her in your arms!!!

That PIPA sure is one lucky baby!

You are absolutely welcome, and thanks for the nice things you said (the feeling is mutual) but let me clarify - I did not make the pendant! I ordered it from a talented crafter who sells on Etsy! Just one more way to keep Claire close to your heart until you are holding her in your arms.

Love the pendant and that exersaucer rocks! Pipa is scoring some super cool stuff these days. LOL @ T&A! HAHA!!

Good luck with that gutter thing, that does not sound like a good time.

Love the pendant. Absolutely beautiful.
Be careful on that ladder! For heaven's sakes the last thing you need to do is fall and break something. When we were in Ukraine last year, another adoptive parent came over on her second trip with a walking cast. Totally ruined any and all sightseeing opportunities. BE CAREFUL! ;>)

I have that excersaucer and it's awesome! I love how it folds out into stages too. Man that thing has saved us so many times!

Great gifts!! Man, I hadn't even thought about getting an excersaucer....Yikes! What else am I forgetting?

That is one fancy excersaucer!!

Presents are always nice!!

Be careful on that ladder, maybe it's time to call in the reserves and have it fixed.
Hoping TA comes soon!
And the gifts rock.
By the way, lesson learned: little ones can climb out of cribs, playpens and portable cribs (and over baby gates), so the exersaucer thingy is way better to keep Pipa in place!

Beautiful pendant. I'm with the others...hire someone and stay safe. My parents were going to stay with our son while we traveled...except my dad fell off his roof after we'd booked all our flights and broke a gazillion bones. I'm not sure who felt worse...my dad in his pain or my mom having to call me and tell me we'd have to change our plans! Hence, my hubs stayed home while I went to China.

Bee~u~tiful! That Julie is one crafty gal!

I would also suggest the jumperoo that hangs in the door way. I used it for Weston while I showered and he loved it. It is also great for leg strengthening.

Beautiful gifties! The pendant of Pipa is adorable! What a wonderful gift from a wonderful gal!! I still remember fondly the day we checked out Tess' referral together!

Exersaucer looks like tons o fun! Hopefully it keeps Pipa fully entertained while momma gets ready for her day.

It's funny the things we need to think about. Your gooey gutter situation...what do we do when babes is home? Thought about that last night when I hopped out of the car to shovel the driveway. Even the easiest of tasks that I take for granted will take on a whole new meaning and require more thought. I know we'll do it though!

Cannot wait for you TA to arrive!!

Okay am I the only cracking up about the T&A - I'm easily humored. Great gifts - what a gorgeous pendant and the one from Special K is awesome. My son loved the saucer and I agree with T, he also used the jumping gadget and that was good also.

Ooooo... purdy pendant. Julie is a sweetie.

I have my eye on an exersaucer, too. Probably the only way us single girls can shower while keeping the kid confined and out of trouble. LOL!

PS. You do know it's like 5 degrees and snowing heavily today, right? Surely you didn't get up on that danged roof!

That exersaucer is awesome...little Claire will so dig it!

Great pressies!!! Hope the exersaucer keeps PIPA entertained so you can keep your hygeine up to date!!! :)

I'm a bit confused about our system, over here. I thought we had to wait for TAs and Consulate appointments etc before we could book anything etc... apparently not! At least, I HOPE these guys know what they're doing, and I haven't booked all this stuff, only to have them say "oh crap, your consulate date has changed"!!!

What thoughtful gifts. It sure does make it fun to check your mail doesn't it? I love the comment about explaining the difference between TA & T&A. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during that conversation (lol).

Hugs,
Jonni
