It continues to be one of those weeks. I knew to expect as much. Only 9 more weeks of this until 'the injured colleague' is fully back in the game. Only about 4 more weeks until some of the load lifts off of me. Hey, who's counting?
1) A bright spot of the week was a generous gift of stylin' clothes, shoes, an uber-cute piggy bank and a beautiful pig paper cut from one of my fave moms. I will take pictures...it just may take a while. I can hardly wait to see how my young man looks in all that beautiful gear ;0) Gracis, madre bonita y caliente. Ciao bella!
2) I LOVE all the Christmas cards rolling in with updated pics for my 'wall of inspiration' THANK YOU. Yeah, I am a bite in the arse. No cards out this year. Heh, I'll send them next year when I can put some cuteness of my own in there.
3) Seriously, I am having trouble figuring out what day it is anymore. One runs into the next. When I do sleep I am having whacko dreams such as someone broke into my house and stole my furnace. Nothing else, just left a hole where the furnace was. You guessed it, I woke up freezing.
4) In my normal state of mind I would be utterly grossed out about my cat placing her nekkid arse dead-center of my pillow and smiling at me. No, I don't expect her to wear pants (although I think this may not be a half-bad idea). But, fatigue wins. I just sent her scampering, flipped the pillow over and crawled in. I decided if half the stuff I swim around in all day hasn't killed me then a little cat butt on the pillow isn't likely to do so. Yeah, I'm tired ;0)
5) Sometimes I think people have the impression that babies just 'fall out'. Well, often they do and that's just grand. Love it. But, it isn't always as easy as 'A Baby Story' editing makes it and some things would spell disaster in the wrong environment. Yes, sometimes even I must get very, very serious. Currently, I am sporting a left upper arm the color of an eggplant. Yeah, I got injured in the line of duty too but mine hardly required surgery so I am staying in the game. The bruise came from an impact (with a hard, metal object) during a very physical delivery. One can only look at the end result with a pink, healthy, LARGE screamer. One cannot dwell on the harrowing moments of getting there. Hey, we all survived and are no worse for the wear in the end. But, let's put it this way, I could do with less challenge to the reminders of why I undertook all that education. But, then again, it certainly keeps me on my toes. I'll be going for a color job to cover the new greys soon ;0)
6) Hey, I suspect I have less than a month until baby PIPA makes an appearance. I figure if I am 'peace in, peace out' she can be 'peace in, peace always'. Yes, I AM clearly delusional and I realize I may be changing her nickname to 'Taz'.
7) Going to go check the tub and make sure Jake didn't poop in it. If not I'm climbing in for a hot water nap. At this point, I consider it a good sign that I would care about there being poop in the tub.
8) Hope you're all keeping up with the season and finding time for the truly important things in life. Be back soon. Wishing you dreams of sugar-plum fairies (or something like that) and no butt-rings on your pillows.

life as a baby deliverer- never a dull moment, huh?
PIPA! Thats fantastic... you are so clever!
Ouch! Your arm sounds sore! This may sound weird... but I have a big purple bruise on my arm... had a little day procedure this week!! hehehe!
Neked butt on the pillow... well I could tell some stories... but for sake of not embarassing my husband... I won't!
Love the thought of baby PIPA! Ah momma...she's almost here.
Not being a cat person I'll only say one word and then leave it...Ewwww! ;o)
Praying for you as you deliver all those precious little babies over the next month. For wisdom, understanding, clarity in a sleep deprived state and so much more. Love ya sweets.
xo
PIPA is a great nickname for your little one.
You sure are one busy bee...never a dull moment with you.

Love PIPA...
Sorry about the hazards of the job that you have...sounds very painful to me.
love the nickname
sorry about the injury
Have a very very Merry (last) Christmas without your PIPA....
LOVE the idea of little baby PIPA. :)
My cat did the same thing to me tonight. Ass right in the face. Lovely.
Love your mind...always so creative, even when you are asleep.
Can't imagine what it would be like to birth babies all the time. Both amazing and intense, I'm sure.
I am sure your cat's naked b*ut*t is better than a dog's! I will not let a dog lick me! EVER!

Not sure how you are staying sane right now - but you are sounding convincing!
Hey--my cat poops in the bath tub every once in awhile, too! Glad to know I'm not the only one.
Oh yeah, I can't wait for you to get your referral!!!!
It's nice to know that I'm not the only who loves the nickname PIPA. During all the madness you're encountering, you seem to be getting all zen-like. Good for you!
I'm lovin' the PIPA nickname!
Sorry you were injured in the line of duty! Ouch!
After a long day with Briana, if my kitty sits on my pillow and I'm tired, I'm not worrying about it - LOL!
Love the PIPA nickname, already following in Mama's footsteps!
We don't have cat butt on our pillows, but we do have a dog that licks his butt and then thinks it's really cool to come lick your face right after. Yuck!
Hope your boo-boo heals quickly, or I may have to send Nurse Kerri to the rescue! She will bandage the cat's butt for free too.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we can't wait to see your post about PIPA!
Butt rings in the pillow threw me over the edge! I almost lost my coffee on that one. Stay sane and don't work tooooo hard. Yes, less than a month. WHOOOOHOOOOO!!
Wow, just now having a seconds to feel human again. The adjustment kicks butt!
Thanks for following us on our journey and I cannot wait to follow yours. I hope PIPA is everything you have dreamed of for the last 3 years!!!!!!
So sorry about the extra hours you are having to put in. But, when you leave to go get PIPA....no regrets.
Missing it by one day really bites. So does 2 days or 3 or 4! There is nothing else to say....it just bites.
Oh, I can so relate to the whole pet butt issue on the pillow..LOL
I hope that you have some easier and more relaxing days soon but somehow I doubt it because in addition to the VERY busy life you are immersed in you are about to be a mama which will really have you hoppin and I know you cannot wait for that!! I think that was a run on and on sentence.
