- So, I didn't do quite as well as the cat at kicking back this weekend but I HAVE gotten caught up on annoying household chores amidst some good times with family.
- Have you HEARD the latest little rumor floating about? This time tomorrow there is a chance that I may only be 7 LIDs away from referral. Nope, no relaxing here. A girl can dream. One of life's most amazing moments is just around the bend for me. No wonder I'm very close to completely useless right now.
- I can hardly wait to see the new baby faces for my fellow 2006 Febbers. It has been SO long in the making. Finally! My heart is just about to pop with the excitement.
- It seems the new blog is working very well. Only 4 reported crashes so the poll is coming down. Yeah, I figure if someone has terrible crash issues then they probably could not vote but I doubt that has been much problem.
- Still not much better in the hair department. No pictures until I figure it out. I'm going to (try to) swing by the salon sometime this week for 'remedial hair 101'. The downside to short hair is that you have to do something with it. When it's longer you can just throw in the tres chic hair clip/band/tie and go. How did I forget that little tidbit before allowing this?
- I suppose one DOES know they are ready when the 'mama bear' persona is at the ready. I have an overwhelming protective instinct already regarding all things that will affect my kiddo. I feel like a NatGeo special (save the part about actually eating any threats ;0)
- Seriously, thank you to all the moms and moms-to-be who have been such an amazing support. This wait has been so hard at times and banding together in this community has made it bearable.

I have always enjoyed coming here to read - your stories, projects, humor, honesty...it's just good stuff. And, NOW there is this sense of EXCITEMENT just radiating with every word.
I am just SO happy for you...your little girl is really so close now. And, then the REALLY good stuff can begin. Yay!!!
Your old site always took FOREVER to load and about 20% of the time would cause my computer to crash altogether (course, I have a really wimpy computer!)...Glad to report that your new site is computer-friendly to even us wimpy computers out here!
Surely you have enough duckie numbers already made up to see you through...I'm keeping my fingers crossed, anyway!

Ah hair....just throw your sunglasses on top of your head (like me) and use it as a headband to keep the hair out of the way. Or, a hat can be cute. Scarves are just too 50's. Hope the salon can rescue your crowning glory! I hear extensions look real nowadays, unless you opt for the funny colored ones. Watch out for the big ugly wigs. Or you can always shave it all off and hope it grows back thicker (wive's tale) and in the meantime make everyone wonder what kind of health issues you have. (just kidding!).
I am so glad you are finally getting closer. You should be nesting by now, but I think you probably have done every home improvement job you need. You can always come here and teach us how to ride a John Deere (as soon as I find a cute enough John Deere)!

On the good side, babyproofing will give you a project to do while you are waiting the last couple of months (at the most) until your referral.

As for the hair... sigh, you have my sympathy and empathy but no solution. Luckily, hair grows :)
