I must admit that I am getting a little tired of the rubber ducks every month. As luck would have it, I only have photos through the #32. I propose that a November referral would be a lovely way to stop me from lining up ducks in the bathtub and then photographing them like a sad little loon. Fingers crossed.Let's put it this way. If there is LID month #33 before referral then there will be no duck picture. I'll simply have to come up with something grand because there is NO way that month would not be the last LID month to pass. (I say with every ounce of conviction I can muster.)
Come morning it is off for more daycare detective work and fingerprint fun for home study updates. I am in serious planning/action mode now and still can hardly believe it. I am on pins and needles and feel like throwing up most of the time these days. I worry about anyone around me when that referral finally comes. I am going to be one hot mess...guaranteed.

The daycare search has me terrified. I can't even wrap my brain around doing it. Way too overwhelming. Good thing I have plenty of time to figure it all out. :P

I am so excited for you...soooo close!!!
Call your county birth to three program to see if there is a "developmental" daycare in your area. These types of daycares typically have a mix of typically developing children with children with special needs which usually means better teacher student ratio's, therapist on site etc.

I have a calendar on a bulletin board at school with everyone's LID. One of my seniors always marks the days off after every referral. I must admit I haven't really paid much attention to the board in months because it has been up so long.
Last week one day I was standing in front of the class teaching and the calendar caught my eye. It amazed me to see so few days infront of your LID date. I stopped mid-sentence and just smiled for a moment. The kids thought I was nuts, but I just explained that I went to my own little world for a while. They laughed because that is where I tell them to come back from all of the time. :)
